Do you want to immerse yourself in reading, writing, thinking and questioning?

Do you enjoy exploring your ideas with teachers and friends?

Are you ready to engage with others in the school community and interact with the widest variety of people in New York City?

There is no typical CITYterm student. The program appeals to athletes and artists, thinkers and thespians, to anyone who is eager to learn and grow in dialogue with the world’s most exciting and complex city. However, CITYterm students do tend to exhibit certain qualities, including:


  • A passion for reading, thinking and writing
  • An enthusiasm for asking questions and exploring the avenues questions create
  • A willingness to embrace living and learning with others in a small community

  • A readiness to engage with the widest variety of people in New York City
