Interdisciplinary & Project-Based

The Urban Core

With a shared text of New York City, CITYterm's three-course Urban Core curriculum is fully interdisciplinary. The Urban Core is comprised of Honors-level History, English and Urban Environments of New York City, but is taught as an interdisciplinary course.  Rather than going to Literature or History or Urban Environments class, students go to Urban Core classes.  During any given week the Urban Core is comprised of three to four project.  Most projects span three or four weeks.  Explore sample projects here.

Note: Our non-Urban Core classes - including mathematics, foreign language, Physics and Chemistry - are taught in a more traditional, single-disciplinary format.
