The Symposium is designed to create chances for teachers and administrators to build connections with people who are engaged in the same kind of work in different schools.  The last Teaching for Experience Symposium was July 12 - 15, 2016.

One of the things we have learned in the last decade is that there are people all over the world who are already engaged in creating transformational learning—but they don’t know who each other are. The Symposium is the chance to find out who these other educators are, what they are doing, and how they are doing it.  The connections formed during the Symposium will enable all of us to stay in contact in the future and build on each other’s work.

There will be workshops presented by teachers from all over the world who have created successful transformational learning in their classrooms. You will have a chance to attend multiple presentations but – beyond just hearing about other people’s work - the Symposium is designed to allow you large amounts of time for informal connection and follow up based on your specific interests.

You should come to the Symposium because you will leave with new ideas regarding teaching and learning; ideas that will transform the way your students learn, the way you teach, and the school you work at. Below are some testimonials from people who have been at TFE previously illustrating how it has invigorated their professional and personal lives.
