Dean of Residential Life
CITYterm at the Masters School seeks a full time, residential Dean of Residential Life starting August 1, 2018. This is an eleven month, paid, administrative position that includes housing. This position reports to CITYterm's Director.
The person in this role will collaborate with a residential faculty to create a student culture that supports transformative learning. In collaboration with the residential faculty, the Director of Residential Life (DRL) is responsible for developing the skills of the residential faculty, creating a community-minded dorm culture, responding to individual student life issues as they arise, and communicating with a wide-range of stakeholders (students, faculty, parents, and colleagues in other departments). This position is ideal for someone who is deeply student-centered, fascinated by adolescent development, committed to experience-based learning, and interested in residential life. Ideal candidates are process-oriented, flexible, organized, and interested in working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Excellent communication and relationship building skills are essential to this role. This position builds administrative skill and exposes the DRL to a student-centered, experience-based approach to teaching and learning.
