Applying to CITYterm

Applications for both the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 semesters must be submitted by February 15, 2018.  CITYterm will notify students of our admissions decisions by April 1, 2018. If applications are received after the February 15 deadline, we will consider them on a rolling admission basis.

Interviews

CITYterm does not conduct personal interviews with applicants.  However, we do welcome prospective families to visit our campus and speak with current students and faculty.  Visits must be scheduled in advance as CITYterm students and faculty are often off campus in New York City.  To schedule a visit, please reach out to Ravi Katkar at ravi.katkar@cityterm.org or 914-479-6413.

Cost of Attending

Tuition, room and board for a CITYterm semester is one-half the annual boarding tuition at The Masters School plus a transportation fee to offset the costs of travel to, from, and within New York City. For the 2017-18 Academic Year, the cost of a CITYterm semester will be $32,650.  We also require students to have $650 to cover book purchases and incidental expenses. 

Applying for Financial Aid

Families wishing to apply for financial aid should do so by submitting the Parents’ Financial Statement with School and Student Services (SSS) by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).  Please also indicate your desire to apply for financial aid on the Financial Aid Supplement portion of the application.  To be considered for a financial aid award, the Parents’ Financial Statement must be filed by February 15, 2018.  Please reference the Financial Aid Supplement portion of the application for details and instructions about applying for financial aid.

Transfer of Credits and Grades

Students receive full honors-level credit for the work completed within CITYterm’s Urban Core curriculum, as well as up to two additional courses from our broad range of additional classes, including math, language, science, and U.S. History* courses.

*U.S. History is taught based on enrollment needs, which vary from semester to semester.
